Prospective PhD students

Prospective PhD student flyer (Fall 2025)

I admit PhD students through the Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering PhD programs. Please apply to the program that best fits your interests and goals, and mention your interest in working in my lab in your application. For the Fall 2025 PhD admissions cycle, the application deadlines vary depending on the program that you have selected, ranging from December 2, 2024 to December 16, 2024 (AE: Dec 2; CS: Dec 15; ML: Dec 2; Robotics: Dec 2; ECE: Dec 16) - take note of this when applying here. After you apply, you are welcome to email me at chou [at] gatech [dot] edu regarding your application – when doing so, please include your CV, relevant transcripts, and a description of your research interests and plans. Please understand that while I’m always excited to discuss research ideas with students, it’s an unfortunate reality that I may not have the bandwidth to reply to all inquiries.

Prospective Georgia Tech MS and undergrads

If you are interested in getting involved in research as a GT undergrad or MS student, please email me at chou [at] gatech [dot] edu. Please include your CV and relevant transcripts in your email.

Prospective postdocs

While I do not currently have funded positions for postdocs, there are several fellowships that could support your research in the group, such as the AE Postdoc Fellowship or the President’s Postdoc Program. A more comprehensive list of funding opportunities is available here.
